This Figure Session is part of our annually scheduled MONOTHON fundraiser. Scheduled as an Additional Monothon Activity, this workshop will include the same materials as a MONOTHON session. Up to 10 sheets of high-quality paper, inks, knives, palettes, plates, rollers, brushes, solvents, paper towels, and other miscellaneous materials will be provided. Along with working from a live model, participants will also have access to the expertise and assistance of a Master Printer. Of the prints created during this workshop, one will be chosen from each artist to be included in our MONOTHON Auction.
Join us for CCP’s Figure and the Monotype: MONOTHON Session, in which participants will emulate the process of Degas by studying and printing from a model. Nomi Silverman, artist and printmaker, will assist participants in creating monotypes from life. Explore the versatile nature of monotype by printing and reworking ghost impressions to achieve depth of color and composition. Oil and water based printing are welcome.
