| 7-week workshop Fridays January 29- March 12, 2010 10am- 4pm $375 plus $35 studio fee; limited 8 ![]() This workshop will explore printing from both the stone and the plate. It will begin with basic preparation of the stone (graining, etching) and continue with printing lithographic drawings with both dry and wet materials (crayon and tusche). If time permits an introduction of color and multi-stone imagery will be included. Beginner James Reed received his BA from the University of Missouri, Kansas City, and his MA from San Francisco State University. He is also a graduate of Tamarind Institute. He is the owner of and master printer for Milestone Graphics in Bridgeport. His work is included in the following selected collections: IBM, General Electric, Tamarind Institute, Achenbach Print Foundation, New York Public Library, and The Metropolitan Museum of Art. He is the recipient of a Ford Foundation Fellowship and a Rockefeller Research Grant, and his work has been exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art, San Francisco. |
