| Incorporating Digital Technology Mary Taylor and Christopher Shore 4-day workshop Tuesday- Friday February 22- February 25, 2011
 10am- 4pm $425 plus $35 studio fee; limited to 8 New technologies for digital imaging and printing are revolutionizing the ways we make art. Explore some of these new tools and learn how they can be combined with traditional printmaking. This workshop will introduce some of the techniques from the book Digital Art Studio, and will focus on creating nontraditional substrates to be incorporated with digital imagery. Participants will try a variety of processes including bleed printing, printing on thin papers, and transfers to fresco and paper. Participants are expected to have digital images prepared before the workshop, so some digital imaging skills are required. All levels. Mary Taylor worked for over a decade as studio manager for Digital Atelier’s founder Dorothy Simpson Krause and continues to explore new horizons with Krause. Each year Taylor teaches her popular Digital Mixed Media Printmaking workshops throughout the country and her prints and artist’s books are exhibited in numerous exhibitions. In 2008 her DVD; Beyond The Digital Print; customizing surfaces for inkjet printing was released. Taylor is represented by South Shore Art, Cohasset MA and Priscilla Juvelis, Kennebunkport, ME. He has studied printmaking techniques in Venice and Florence, Italy and has shown his work internationally. His work explores many types of traditional and non-traditional printmaking techniques.
