For beginners and serious youngsters interested in learning and experimenting with the printmaking arts in a professional studio environment. Non-toxic printmaking techniques and materials are used. Monotypes, styrofoam and photopolymer plate printing, carborundum technique and basic papermaking are taught. Each participant has the opportunity to create a variety of prints and gain a lasting knowledge of printmaking. On the last day of camp, CCP has a show of the work created at a special reception for the young artists, their parents and families.

Please Note: Youngsters must be at least 11 years old to participate. Art is messy! Dress for mess.

Heather N Varco graduated from Hartford Art School with a BFA in printmaking. She teaches printmaking at CCP and other art organizations
